Professional Development Facilitator (Full-Time)

Anticipated Start Date: Summer 2025

Who We Need:

All Learners Network (ALN) is looking for a confident, experienced K-5 school mathematics teacher leader or a special educator with a focus in mathematics. The ALN facilitator will report to the Director of Facilitators. They will need to have experience teaching grades K- 5 school mathematics or as a special educator who has familiarity with writing math goals and providing math instruction. They will also need to provide evidence of facilitation of professional development to a wide audience of educators. One of the main goals for this position is to collaborate with other facilitators and school systems to support and spread ALN's mission to "cultivate a community of educators that promotes math equity and inclusion for all students." We are looking for someone who is passionate about teaching mathematics and experienced in creating math instruction that reaches all students. Ideally, this person would be familiar with creating a balanced math class that provides inclusion and differentiated instruction to meet the needs of all students. The ideal candidate is excited and willing to dive into both strategy and execution while being fully committed to and excited about our mission. 

What You’ll Do:

  • Travel to schools within and outside of Vermont
  • Provide in-district professional development based on contract goals and maximum impact
  • Connect with district leaders to set up calendars and PD goals upon district assignments
  • Maintain frequent communication with district leaders
  • Collect qualitative and quantitative feedback from the school system throughout the year
  • Facilitate ALN “Core Content” PD events both in-person and virtually
  • Independently and/or collaboratively create new robust & relevant content for district professional development, courses, workshops, conferences, All Learners Online (ALN’s software platform), and more
  • Write content when needed for blogs relevant to current professional mathematics teaching and learning topics
  • Collaborate with the Director of Facilitators to set personal annual facilitator goals, having to do with both content creation and professional practice improvements
  • Attend Facilitator meetings 2x/month
  • Collaborate with other ALN facilitators and math content specialists to create meaningful content to spread our mission, message, and expertise
  • Stay current in educational topics that are relevant to the facilitation of mathematics content knowledge and effective instructional practices
  • Collaborate with ALN’s Data Research Manager in the collection of school impact data
  • Share meaningful insights about district projects with ALN’s sales and marketing teams to help further our mission and message

What We Are Looking For:

  • 5+ years of teaching Grades K- 5 mathematics or as a special educator
  • Bachelor’s degree minimum
  • Master’s degree a plus
  • Belief that all students can learn important mathematics
  • Strong facilitation skills
  • Ability to independently and/or collaboratively facilitate professional development events in person and virtually for both large and small group
  • Experience with utilizing digital platforms (Zoom, Google Meet, Google Suite (i.e. Slides and Docs etc.)
  • Ability to handle multiple school contracts simultaneously and meet established impact goals
  • Be willing to travel to our client school districts up to 3-5 days/week within the state of VT and elsewhere in the US
  • Experience building relationships across multiple roles and personalities within school districts
  • Proven track record of meeting deadlines and deliverables
  • Have reliable transportation to travel to/from schools and accomplish in-district, on-site professional development
  • Have a valid driver’s license. 

Salary: $94,000

Final offers for this job will be based on capabilities.
