Try This: Start Small with a Targeted Launch for 3-5 Students

Pulling a small group can feel like a big commitment when your plate's already full. Here's the good news: your first one doesn't need to be fancy. It just needs to be targeted.

Look at your recent data and pick 3-5 students who share one specific need. Then plan a short, focused Launch to kick things off. That's it. No need to build a whole cycle yet.

Try this: Copy and paste this prompt into AI Math Coach, fill in the blanks, and see what happens:

I want to pull a small group of [grade level] students who all need support with [specific skill/concept]. Help me plan a short Launch (5-10 minutes) that gets them thinking about this concept and gives me a quick read on where each student is.

Real example from a 3rd grade teacher:

"I want to pull a small group of 3rd grade students who all need support with understanding multiplication as equal groups. Help me plan a short Launch (5-10 minutes) that gets them thinking about this concept and gives me a quick read on where each student is."

Result: AI Math Coach gave her a quick visual routine using counters and a simple question sequence that let her see immediately which students were still counting one-by-one versus grouping.

Time investment: 3 minutes to plan, 10 minutes to run. Small group, big insight.
