What does it look like to hire ALN?
Published: March 14, 2025
When it comes to educator professional development, there is a huge spectrum. Not only can it cover a variety of topics, from mathematics to reading, language arts, and social-emotional learning, but the scope of professional development can also vary widely. Sometimes, teacher professional development focuses on strengthening teacher skills or content knowledge, and sometimes, it focuses on training teachers to understand or use a particular system.
Hiring All Learners Network (ALN) for math professional development offers schools and districts a unique opportunity to improve teaching practices, foster a classroom environment where all students can learn math, and support every single student. But what is it like for schools and districts to work with ALN on math professional development, and how can this partnership lead to long-term success?
We are a math professional development company focused on making math education more accessible. Our approach utilizes evidence-based practices to help teachers create environments where every single student can thrive. When we work with schools and districts, we introduce teachers to strategies and best practices for teaching math that align with the latest research on math education. These strategies and practices include differentiated instruction, the use of Universal Design for Learning (UDL) principles, and formative assessment. ALN emphasizes strategies for making math instruction accessible to all learners.
So, what does this approach look like?
ALN meets with you to fully understand the school and/or district concerns focused on math teaching and learning. After understanding the unique needs of the district or school, we design a professional development plan that is tailored to address those needs. And when we say understanding the need, we really mean it. Our Account Executives are former educators who take the time to learn from each school and district before even starting to propose a plan. While creating the plan, in addition to considering your needs, we also factor in your budget and overall goals.
This plan could include coaching, virtual professional development, in-person professional development, access to our professional development and resources platform, All Learners Online (ALO), a math audit, summer math program support, and much more. Every single plan we create for a school or district is completely customized to meet the specific needs of the school or district.
Once we propose a plan, we review it and revise it with the school or district until it is right. We then get to work on getting all of the pieces of the contract ready.
Hiring All Learners Network for math professional development is an investment in both teachers and students. By equipping educators with the skills and strategies to make math instruction more effective, schools and districts can create an environment where every student has the opportunity to succeed in math. The personalized, ongoing support provided by ALN ensures that these changes are not only immediate but also sustainable, leading to long-term improvements in student achievement.
For districts and schools that want to help all students succeed in math and improve student mathematical outcomes, partnering with ALN for professional development is a powerful step in the right direction. Through their innovative approach, ALN empowers educators to transform their teaching practices, support diverse learners, and, ultimately, help all students unlock their potential in math.
